Charlie has toiled for years in obscurity as a painter and writer in the Northwest, earning himself the dubious distinction of being “The oldest promising young artist in Seattle.” He exhibits his porcelain sculptures around the world, and is the only known artist to work with human bone china, a technique he calls “Spone China.”
As he explained to Mortuary Management magazine, “I want to create an elegant and totally unique memento mori for anyone who wants one.”
